Blue
Grey is called Blue in the cat world. Our lines give us lots of solid blues.
Red
Orange is known as Red in the cat world. Reds are gorgeous, and we get plenty of them here at Kitty Amour!
Cream
Cream is the recessive trait and a dilute version of Red.
Tortoiseshell
Tortoiseshell, commonly called “Tortie” is a mix of black and red patches. The coat is considered a “solid” (non-agouti) as there are no tabby markings on a tortie.
Black Smoke
A black smoke in an Exotic Shorthair refers to a solid black kitty that has a silver undercoat. Often it is hard to detect in kittens and reveals itself and develops as the kitten grows.
Black Bicolor
Black bicolor is the classification of what we commonly refer to as a black and white cat. They are commonly seen with a “tuxedo “ pattern, with white on the chest, paws, and sometimes a sweet mustache.
Black
Solid black is a striking and popular color among Exotic Shorthairs. Captivating and mesmerizing, these beauties steal the show.
Brown Tabby & White
The sweet faces that emanate from the tabby expression won the hearts of many.
Tabby cats are the most common of patterns in the cat world, but couple that with white, and you have a real gem!
Calico
Almost always the calico is found in the female cat. (It is a genetic anomaly, and almost always sterile when found as a male).
Calicos have distinct red and black patches, most like a tortie, with the addition of white. There are no tabby patterns in a Calico cat.
Dilute Calico
The recessive dilute gene takes over the red and black markings of a calico, bearing cream and blue instead. These kitties will also be only female.
Blue Cream
Displaying the recessive gene for red and black, the blue-cream like a dilute calico, but without white present.
Blue Bicolor
Add a little white to the solid blue and you have the ever charming blue bicolor, commonly referred to as a grey and white. This color pattern is a fan favorite!
Blue Tabby & White
Much like the brown tabby & white, this coloration features blue patterned stripes instead of brown.
Red Bicolor
Add a little white to the solid blue and you have the ever charming blue bicolor, commonly referred to as a grey and white. This color pattern is a fan favorite!
